About us
Do you like going for a bit of a wander in the bush? Perhaps a walk down the Prom?
Fancy trekking across the Victorian Alps in springtime or braving the cold climes of bushwalking heaven in Tasmania?
How about canoeing or white water rafting down some of the Gippsland Rivers like the Thompson, or the Mitchell?

The South Gippsland Walking and Adventure Club was formed nearly twenty years ago from the ashes of the South Gippsland Bushwalking Club of the 1970’s. In that time we have held many activities like those mentioned above as well as cycling, Rogaining and Hot-air ballooning.
Activities range from the short and easy to the occasionally hard multi-day treks. They run mid-week and at week-ends as well as during holiday periods. Social events, such as Mystery Bus Tours and restaurant nights, are held regularly. Our activities are suitable for all ages and all fitness levels — there really are activities for everyone and you will make a lot of new friends.

The South Gippsland Walking and Adventure club has many experienced members who can assist new members as they try bushwalking or other activities for the first time. If required, there is equipment for hire so that new (and old!) members can try things out before they buy their own.

The club meets:

Potential new members are always welcome, so why not come along, see us for yourself and join in an activity or two before you commit yourself to membership!
